Hey, listen to me now, son.
Don't you know that your culture has been stolen, devalued, and redefined?
So much so some of us make it a way of life.
Some of us have embraced the identity made for us from history's past.
It is the default culture by which we all are judged.
It is racism—version 2.0.
An operating program—if you will—of personal biases being common place,
but discreet;
Tolerable if accompanied with the sincerest apology.
Its purpose: to keep the nature of cyclic divisiveness going,
To sustain this republic's dated traditions, the haves, and even the greedy.
Have you figured this out from school yet, boy?
The more things change, the more they stay the same.
And until you demonstrate you have assimilated,
or can recognize the racism of being labeled and call it out for what it is,
you shall be typecasted aggressive, violent, a deviant, a delinquent, a criminal.
And don't act out in anger now, because then you'll just be a terrorist.
Least you understand this one thing:
You're not allowed to express particular human emotions,
or a hail will rain down on you.
It's the established practice of keeping you in check.
And it's for the sole purpose of validating assumptions and fears,
which often are society's created self-fulfilling prophecies.
The irony, and hear me now, son, is that even when basking in the light of delusion,
with the argument that racism is no longer,
all kinds of purported statistics and data will be conjured up,
proven stereotypes from years of social experiments
all about how you should and will be and do.
And added to this manufactured culture for us is its commodification,
which has been sold the world over.
You would think that if everyone is "cool like that",
the content of character would be all that matters, and there would be peace on Earth,
but you'd be wrong.
A simple question for you, son: what is it to be "black"?
So, you see, you can only see and appreciate the beauty of the world
truly, if your eyes are free from the veil of misconceptions of what you are,
as perpetrated by the system, the media, social media, the misuse of technology,
and even the sleepwalkers—
none of which for you are really ready.
These are all relied on to be insidious vices,
geared toward training you like a circus act,
imprisoning your mind, spirit and body—shackling who you are.
So, let me ask you this one last thing, son:
What's it gonna be,
assimilation or enslavement?
For this is really the only freedom of choice you have here.
