SECRETS OF A MAN'S HEART
by K. B. Johnson © Summer, 2005

Let the comfort of my strong arms assure you—you are the one.
And when I say you are the one, can you feel the sincerity in my voice?
It quakes from the stirring of my soul of having you so close.

Do I love you? You know I do, but please... don't make me say it.
Love is such a lonely emotion of risk.
I feel you in my heart, and within it, you are held in the highest regard.
But I never want to feel its despair.
After all... you are only human.

Do I love you? You know I do.
It sustains what every fiber of my existence tells my rational mind—
you are the one.
Knowing that I am blessed to have you so close,
I feel and have much more than love to give.
So much more.

Do you know...

When I say your name, I reaffirm my promise of faithfulness to you—to our existence.

When I look upon you, I find honor and happiness in the reverence of your beauty.

When I feel your passion, I lay all doubt aside and unconditionally trust in you.

When I listen to your melodic voice, I not only hear you, but I understand you.

When I inhale you, I feel you at my core, nourishing my spirit.

My love... you are my life, and it feels so great to be alive.
