I lay on the green of earth, seeing blue and white with clarity, wondering...
My lips betray my heart and converses its secret
to the trade winds of spring.
Surrounded by the elements of new life,
I find inspiration in realizing the sun is no brighter than hope—
no brighter than my desire for you.
So I lay in the green of earth, seeing you in blue and white,
wondering as the wind takes from me to you my secret
of what it would be like to be close to you.
